How do you use temp mail? This is the most common question for first-time users. This guide breaks it down into 5 simple steps — no technical background needed.
Step 1: Get Your Temp Mail Address
Open YYDS Mail and you'll see an email address display box. When the page loads, the system automatically generates a random temp mail address like abc123@215.im.
No registration, no phone number, no personal info — the address is right there, ready to use.
Want a different address? Click "generate new" or customize the prefix.
Step 2: Copy the Address
Click the copy button next to the address to copy it to your clipboard. This address is your "disposable identity" for the next step.
Tip: don't close the browser tab — YYDS Mail remembers your address during the session, but clearing cache or switching devices requires regeneration. For long-term retention, consider upgrading to a paid plan.
Step 3: Register on the Target Website
Open the website you want to register on (forum, resource site, trial service), paste your temp mail address in the email field, fill in other details, and submit.
The site will send a verification email (code or confirmation link) to your temp mail.
Important: temp mail is for accounts you don't need long-term. For important accounts (banking, payments, primary social), use your real email — otherwise you can't recover passwords. More use cases in what is temp mail.
Step 4: Receive the Verification Email
Return to YYDS Mail — your inbox refreshes in real-time. New emails appear automatically via WebSocket push, no manual refresh needed. This is better than many temp mail services that require polling.
Find the verification email, copy the code or click the confirmation link, and complete registration on the target site.
If the email hasn't arrived, wait a few seconds. Some sites have delays, but usually under 1 minute.
Step 5: Manage Your Temp Mail
After registration, you can:
- Keep receiving: if the account sends notifications, keep the page open
- Clear inbox: done with it? Clear current emails
- Generate new address: for the next registration
- Use custom domain: if the target site blocks temp mail domains, paid users can use custom domains to bypass
